DDoS attack on infrastructure targeting backbone and services

  • JGNetworking NRW Germany (map)

## Affected ###

— Routing stability across core backbone links
— Virtual server performance (latency, packet loss)
— JGNSRV Service @ BSU1A + BSU1B
— ISPNet Area BSU

### Because ###

— We are currently under a high-intensity DDoS attack aimed at saturating our backbone uplinks and exhausting resources across several virtualized environments.
Malicious traffic bursts are causing degraded connectivity and momentary service unavailability.
Our team is actively deploying advanced filtering, blackholing, and upstream scrubbing in cooperation with transit partners.
In addition, we are working closely with the Allianz für Cybersicherheit (German Alliance for Cyber Security) to assess patterns and coordinate countermeasures for long-term mitigation.
